Comments: Permit sales are limited in a first step to EU countries, until 2020. Thereafter other regions of Annex-1, which are the only ones have biding commitments, join the market. Until 2020 the market has a relatively small dimension. After 2020 Russia is the main net seller and Germany is the main net buyer. Compared with the no CDM case, the volume of sales by Russia increases slightly (Russia buys CDMs from China to increase it sales of permits). Not shown on this graph, the sales of CDM projects by China are substantial.
